About Product
"A fire door is not a heavier version of a normal door. It is a tested assembly - shutter, frame, glazing, seal and hardware certified together - whose job is to hold a compartment line for a fixed period while people leave and the fire service arrives.
Aurotoshi manufactures 2-hour rated steel fire door sets, tested in accordance with IS 3614 Part 2 and BS 476 Part 22. The shutter is 46 mm thick, formed from two 20-gauge galvanised sheets lock-seam jointed at the stile edges into a double-skin fully flush shell, with a proprietary insulation infill and additional steel reinforcement behind every hinge, lock and closer. It hangs in a 143 × 57 mm double-rebate frame pressed from 16-gauge galvanised steel to a 1.4 mm bend radius, supplied assembled and ready to install.
The set is built in two hardware configurations. The D-handle and lock version is specified for rooms, corridors, plant and service areas where the door sits in normal circulation and has to stay secured. The panic bar version is specified for emergency exits and stairways, releasing under crowd pressure with one push from the escape side while staying locked from the other. Both are available in single and double leaf.
An intumescent seal, an overhead self-closer and a fire-rated vision panel complete the set. Doors are manufactured at our Ghaziabad facility and supplied with test documentation for fire NOC, consultant sign-off and insurer records."

Frequently Asked Questions
Common queries from facility managers, procurement heads, and plant engineers.
120 minutes - a 2-hour rating - tested in accordance with IS 3614 Part 2 and BS 476 Part 22. The rating applies to the tested assembly of shutter, frame, glazing and hardware together, not to the leaf on its own. Test certificates are issued on request for your fire NOC, consultant sign-off and insurer records.
By function, not by rating: both carry the same 120 minutes. A D-handle with mortice lock suits rooms, corridors, plant and service areas that sit on a compartment line and also have to stay secured. A panic bar is for emergency exits and stairways, where the door must release under crowd pressure with one push from the escape side. Both come in single leaf (1200 x 2100, 1200 x 2400 mm) and double leaf (1500 x 2100, 1800 x 2100 mm).
The shutter is 46 mm thick, formed from two 20-gauge galvanised sheets lock-seam jointed at the stile edges into a double-skin flush shell over a proprietary insulation infill, with steel reinforcement replacing the infill behind hinges, lock, closer and panic bar. The frame is 16-gauge galvanised steel with a double-rebate profile of 143 x 57 mm at a 1.4 mm bend radius, supplied assembled - the double rebate is what closes the smoke path around the leaf edge.
SS ball-bearing hinges, an overhead self-closer and an intumescent seal on all three sides, plus either a D-handle with mortice lock or a panic bar - single-point on a single leaf, triple-point on a double leaf. Hardware matters because a fire door that does not close itself, or whose panic bar jams under crowd pressure, fails regardless of the leaf rating.
Yes. A 6 mm fire-rated glass panel of 200 x 300 mm (Schott or Glazer) is glazed into the leaf using the tested glazing detail, so the 120-minute rating is maintained. It is normally specified on busy corridors so staff can see through before pushing the door open.
The overhead closer returns the leaf into the frame after every use, and a propped fire door protects nothing - which is why closer servicing is part of the AMC schedule. Where a door must legitimately stay open during normal operation, specify a hold-open device linked to the fire alarm so it releases on activation.
Fire doors need periodic inspection to stay compliant: hinge and closer servicing, panic bar and lock check, seal and vision panel inspection, and frame and anchor verification. Aurotoshi offers a structured AMC with 24-hour breakdown response, in-house spare parts and documented service records to support your fire-safety audit.
Doors ship 4 to 6 weeks from order confirmation, manufactured at our Ghaziabad facility, with site survey typically within 3 working days of enquiry. Aurotoshi supplies EPC contractors, consultants and integrators as an OEM and ODM manufacturer, with spec sheets, drawings and test documentation.
